AITD 2020 - IMPORTANT NOTICE - FRIDAY 13 MARCH 2020 (2:45pm)

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you for your patience and the messages of good wishes we have received this morning!

The decision to move from a physical conference to a virtual conference was not taken lightly. Until 10:00am this morning, we were still fully intending to proceed as planned but in light of recent events, such as the World Health Organisation declaring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic and the Melbourne Grand Prix being cancelled, we could not, in good conscience, put our delegates, speakers or staff at risk.

We are still confident that this will be a fantastic virtual event. All of our presenters have been overwhelmingly supportive and are raring to go with the incredible content they have planned for you. After all, we are a community of L&D professionals and this is what we do!

We do understand that a virtual conference won't have the same level of networking opportunities that our usual conferences are known for, and, for that reason, we would like to offer a partial refund of your registration fees less $600 for access to the virtual conference. Following the conference, we will be in contact with you to confirm whether you would prefer to receive this as a credit note (to be used against next year's conference, AITD membership fees or any other AITD courses or events within the next 12 months) or as a refund payment.

If you do not wish to attend the virtual conference at all, please contact our finance team with your invoice details and let us know whether you would prefer to receive a credit note (to be used against next year's conference, AITD membership fees or any other AITD courses or events within the next 12 months) or a full refund.

As you can imagine, the AITD team are busily working behind the scenes to get everything in place for the virtual conference and we will issue further updates on session timings and log-in details as soon as we can. Keep your eyes peeled!

The annual, 2-day Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD) conference has a reputation for delivering a varied and high-quality program featuring Australian and international L&D thought leaders.

The agenda covers a broad range of topics, from tools and technologies to theory and best practice, ensuring all delegates walk away with tangible takeaways they can implement in their own workplaces.

Networking is a key element of the conference and delegates consistently rate the opportunity to make strong connections with the wider L&D community as one of the most important aspects of the conference experience.
